In appreciation of a very generous donation received from Mr. and Mrs. James E Thompson, the Center for Business Case Studies has been renamed the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies. Mr. James E Thompson is the founder and Chairman of Crown World Wide Group and a staunch supporter of the university and the Business School.

The Thompson Center for Business Case Studies published a case on Mr. Thompson and his business in 2007 titled: Crown Worldwide Holdings Ltd.: Passing the Torch in a Family Business.
