Organized by the Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS) Case Center, the AAPBS Case Teaching and Writing Workshop was successfully held at Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO from September 19 to 20, 2019. The AAPBS Case Center has been hosted by the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies at HKUST since its inception. Each year the Dean’s office supports a few faculty members to attend AAPBS’s annual case workshop. This year five faculty members joined the workshop in Moscow.

The workshop was delivered by the well-known business case method instructors Prof. Michiel R. Leenders, Professor Emeritus at the Ivey Business School, Western University and Ms. Louise A. Mauffette-Leenders, former case writer and research associate at the Ivey Business School, Canada. The 2-day workshop featured comprehensive yet easy-to-grasp knowledge and skills on case teaching and case writing. Highlighted by its well-designed learning exercises and interactive exchanges through group discussions in a small-class setting, the workshop was well received with about 30 highly committed participants, from various universities in the Eurasia region. Participants also appreciated the hospitality and fantastic organization of Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO.

With the aim to promote case teaching, writing and research, the AAPBS Case Workshop is a signature event of the AAPBS Case Center and is hosted by different AAPBS member schools annually.
